Where is Sajek Valley located?

Sajek is a union in Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati district. It is the largest union in the Chittagong division in terms of size. Its distance from Khagrachari headquarters is 70 km. 45 km from Dighinala. 34 km from Baghaihat. Although Sajek is located in the Rangamati district, the communication system is good through Khagrachari. One has to come by trawler/launch by water from Rangamati.


                                     




Best time or best time to visit Sajek?

Autumn-winter (November-March) is the best time to travel after monsoon and before winter. A lot of clouds are found then. Besides, you can travel throughout the year.

When does the military escort start?

Escort starts from Dighinala at 10 am and 3 pm. Escorts start at 10 am and 3 pm from Sajek as well. Can't go alone without an escort. Remember, if you miss the afternoon escort, you will not be able to go that day.

Is there any local transport from Khagrachari to Sajek?

no Jeep/CNG/Bike should be reserved from Khagrachari. If it is a group of 2-6 people, try to reserve a jeep with another group.

Jeep rental advice

There is a jeep counter in Khagrachari where you can get jeeps and book your rental. If you want to stay more than two nights, know in advance how much you will have to pay extra.

Jeep can carry 10-13 people.

Jeeps are also available at Khagrachari/Dighinala. But if you go on holidays, it is better to fix it in advance. It takes about 3 hours to go from Khagrachari to Sajek and 2.30 hours from Dighinala.If it is a small group, you can go to the jeep counter and try to match with another group. This will save the cost of reserving the entire jeep.
